An emerging trend is to temporarily replace loss of collagen by using hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers or Restylane® fillers, also know as soft tissue augmentation.
This workshop will focus on the development of dermal fillers, dental block techniques, patient selection, patient expectations and proper injection techniques for cosmetic procedures. We will explore the creative and artistic aspects important for a successful treatment outcome. This program provides comprehensive hands-on training on the most sought-after cosmetic procedure that can be performed in the primary care office setting. Certification upon completion. Preceptor programs available for physicians.
Objectives:
Describe the differences between Collagen and Hyaluronic Acids for skin
Assess the proper application of soft tissue augmentations
Anesthesia Techniques (Dental Blocks) or topical
Patient evaluation and consultation
Medical history, consent forms
Standardized procedures & protocols
Attendees are encouraged to participate hands-on training. Attendees prone to cold sores must start RX for Valtrex or similar to prevent outbreaks. Product not included.
